This position provides advanced behavioral health services, requiring independent clinical licensure, in the program area of mental health services.

While maintaining ongoing security within a correctional facility, independently make diagnostic assessments; develop individual treatment plans; provide direct behavioral health evaluation and treatment to offenders with complex and/or treatment-resistant issues; provide crisis intervention; provide referrals for continuing care; and maintain knowledge of trends and therapeutic approaches to co-occurring disorders and integrated behavioral health services delivery.

Provide clinical supervision to other behavioral health professionals; develop and provide advanced training to other behavioral health staff; serve on interdisciplinary committees and work groups; and oversee applied evaluation projects as assigned.

This position has direct contact with offenders.

LICENSURE
-Current Minnesota licensure as an independent clinical mental health professional (e.g. LICSW, LP, LPC, LPCC, and LMFT). NOTE: Applicants with current licensure as an LPC must have satisfied the requirements to provide clinical supervision to others in order to be considered. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
-Demonstrated expertise in mental health evaluation and treatment.
-Demonstrated leadership skills.
-Ability to provide clinical supervision to other behavioral health staff.
-Knowledge of professional, legal and ethical standards; best practices; and community standards of care.
-Skills in verbal and written communication, including proficient documentation skills.
-Interpersonal/human relations skills.
-Basic personal computer skills.
-Ability to independently formulate and implement an individualized treatment plan; provide behavioral health treatment and clinical supervision; and develop a continuing care plan.
-Ability to teach a psycho-educational course; effectively function within a multidisciplinary team; exercise sound judgment; demonstrate appropriate professional boundaries; and temporarily manage daily program operations.

Preferred Qualifications: The following qualifications are strongly desired of applicants seeking consideration for this position.

-Experience providing mental health release planning.
-Experience providing clinical supervision to other behavioral health staff.
-Experience treating severe personality disorders.
-Experience administering and interpreting psychological tests.
-Experience treating co-occurring disorders.
-Knowledge of motivational interviewing.
