Job Description
Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, one of the nation's largest title insurers headquartered in downtown Minneapolis, has an excellent opportunity available for a Graphic Designer.    Responsibilities include designing, developing and producing marketing materials for a variety of platforms, including print, websites, social media, and electronic newsletters.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for designing the layout and formatting the content of the Company’s internal electronic newsletter,  NewsBriefs. Works closely with Corporate Communications in adding and editing content, securing approvals, coordinating layout/design, and distribution.
 
Responsible for building static, animated and rich media online ads. Works closely with Corporate Communications and Corporate Marketing in designing ad concepts and securing approval.
 
Responsible for designing the layout of and formatting marketing collateral for: sell sheets, tri-fold and quad-fold brochures, pocket folders, bio-cards, and other marketing materials, as needed. Works closely with Corporate Communications and Corporate Marketing in creating and editing content for pieces, obtaining approvals and submitting files to printer.
 
Assists in the creation of graphics for email campaigns, social media channels and landing pages.
 
Sizes existing print, social media and online ads for specific publications, making modifications to copy and/or contact information when necessary.
 
Assists in creating print and online ads. Obtains the necessary approvals and submits files to publications in order to meet media calendar deadlines.
 
Works on a variety of as-needed projects, including creating layout and design for: Branding Guidelines, local/regional e-newsletters, benefits pieces, internal communications, and local/regional marketing pieces.
 
Assists in refreshing layout/design, and maintaining accuracy of materials/text on Corporate Marketing/Communications website, Marketing Materials Order Form, and other internal sites, as needed.
 
Updates national marketing pieces and other marketing collateral, as necessary. Makes given edits to layout, design, and text; and works with printer, if needed.
 
Assists in creating and placing marketing materials for industry association conventions. Responsibilities may include: sizing/placing print and online ads, and creating save-the-date cards, invitations, signage and other marketing collateral for sponsorships.
 
 
Answers department telephones courteously, directs calls to appropriate person, takes accurate messages, and forwards them immediately or within one hour of receipt to appropriate parties.
 
Ability to work from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in our downtown Minneapolis office.
 
Must be personable, positive and a professional representative of the Company.
 
Regular consistent attendance is required, that could include attendance at after-hour Company events.
 
Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along with others, i.e., peers, supervisors, outside customers, and vendors.
 
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone and in person. 
 
 
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
B.A. or equivalent, preferably in Fine Arts or Graphic Design.
 
One to three years of experience in graphic design.
 
Proficiency in using the following software: Publisher, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Flash. Proficiency in Eyeblaster a plus but not required.
 
Ability to hard-code HTML.
 
Experience using iframe tabs for Facebook pages.
 
Understands div and CSS layouts, as well as table layouts for email.
 
Understands browser testing and cross-browser compatibility.
 
Ability to understand and adhere to Company’s Branding Guidelines.
 
Ability to self-start, self-direct, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
 
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
 
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
 
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
 
 
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
Ability to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday.
 
Repetitive and continual typing motion is required.
