Job Description
POSITION:         Operations Manager
LOCATION:       Minneapolis, MN

 
DUTIES SPECIFIC TO THIS POSITION:
Successful candidate for this position will plan, organize and direct the manufacturing of organic personal care products.  Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of production runs to achieve optimal Cost of Goods savings.  Oversee system platforms for manufacturing, inventory, finance, e-commerce and POS. Assure attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while insuring product standards that will exceed our customers’ expectations. Ensure Company achieves best service practices from fulfillment house while achieving cost efficiencies as business grows. Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need. Encourage use of new techniques and focus on fact based problem solving. Work to establish management practices throughout assigned areas to include all employees’ positive involvement with opportunity for constructive input and action. Maintain individual skills keeping up to date with latest operations and production management concepts.
 

SKILLS NEEDED:
  • Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Prior experience in a leadership role within cosmetic or personal care industry environment
  • Prior experience interfacing with accounting and financial disciplines as it relates to production and operations
  • Prior experience with facility management and planning, including long-range planning
  • Work with Sales & Marketing to project inventory needs of this rapidly growing business, both internationally and domestic, with ability to quickly assess short and mid term needs as they may arise
  • Assists Marketing/R&D with product development
  • Sage (Mas 200) and Magento Software knowledge a plus
  • Must have strong written and analytical skills
  • Strong operational, process, and documentation skills

  • High energy level with strong interpersonal skills
