Civil CAD Technician/Designer - Public Services
Sambatek, Inc.

Sambatek is currently seeking a CAD Technician/Designer within our Public Services group. This individual will develop clean and accurate plans for various Municipal, Water/Wastewater and Transportation projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation/GEOPAK. This work may include profiles, utilities, design for roadway layouts, signing, striping, SWPPP, parking lot layouts and other various aspects of civil engineering projects.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for performing the necessary CAD drafting tasks to prepare preliminary and final plans
  • Complete work within the scope, budget and on schedule
  • Communicate and collaborate on project work with all project team members
  • Maintain and organize project files in the network project folder
  • Complete specific quality control tasks at the direction of the PM or Sr. Project Engineer
Required Experience
  • Associate Degree in CAD Technology or related field
  • 2-5 years of progressive CAD experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation/GEOPAK, Windows OS and Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to manage and manipulate Civil 3D styles
  • Working knowledge of databases, GIS knowledge a plus
  • Strong self-motivation, communication skills (written and verbal), leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks on multiple projects with great attention to detail
