Sambatek is currently seeking a Sr. Construction/Field Engineer. This individual will be responsible for the oversight and inspection of ongoing construction projects. This is a high production oriented position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Observe construction contracts by conducting field reviews and observation for various types of construction projects
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Review contractor submittals for constructability and compliance to contract
- Keep neat and orderly quantity records and daily construction logs.
- Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments for long periods of time.

- Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Bachelor’s Degree Civil/Construction Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience as an Engineer Technician in the field observing and documenting construction activity
- Level 2 MNDOT Technical Certifications in Grading and Base, Bituminous Street and Concrete Field
- Valid Driver's License (driving record verification is required) and your own transportation
- Ability to interact with others and understand their needs, issues and situations
- Ability to travel out of town for long durations and work nights and weekends as needed
- Bridge Construction Level 2 Certification
- Experience in construction contract administration
- Experience working with city government and municipal infrastructure personnel.
- Construction staking or field survey experience
- Design experience or training with drafting software
