As a Senior Construction/Field Engineer, you will need to possess great self-motivation and the ability to apply technical knowledge to a variety of projects. You also must be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and staff from various agencies. Primary duties include observation of construction contracts by conducting field reviews and observation for various types of construction projects. This will require an ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications, review contractor submittals for constructability and compliance to contract, keep neat and orderly quantity records and daily construction logs.

Specific Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Bachelor’s Degree Civil/Construction Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in observation and documentation of construction activity.
- Valid Driver's License (driving record verification is required) and your own transportation
- Ability to interact with others and understand their needs, issues and situations
- Level 2 MnDOT Technical Certifications in Grading and Base, Bituminous Street and Concrete Field
- Ability to travel out of town for long durations and work nights and weekends as needed.
- Bridge Construction Level 2
- Experience in construction contract administration
- Experience working with city government and municipal infrastructure personnel.
- Construction staking or field survey experience
- Design experience or training with drafting software
