Minimum Requirements:

Essential Duties Include (but are not limited to):

1. Responds to interior and exterior building maintenance and
repair work orders.
2. Repairs leaking kitchen and bathroom fixtures and drains.
Unplugs sink, tub, and toilet drains.
3. Adjusts, repairs, and replaces cabinet doors, drawers, and
related hardware. Adjusts, repairs, and replaces interior and
exterior door locksets and cores.








Essential Duties Include (but are not limited to):

4. Troubleshoots and responds to minor electrical needs. Troubleshoots and responds to appliance
needs, including stoves, refrigerators, furnaces, hot water heaters, and smoke detectors. May
install replacement kitchen appliances.
5. Repairs and adjusts trash compaction equipment.
6. Maintains, adjusts, and makes minor repairs to power equipment.
7. Clears clogged main sanitary sewer drains using power drain cleaning equipment.
8. Trims trees using hand and power tools.
9. Performs duties customarily assigned to the Building & Grounds Specialist job classification.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Ability to read, write, and communicate proficiently in English, and follow directions.
2. Ability to operate, maintain, and make minor repairs to power tools and equipment.
3. Basic janitorial skills.
4. Ability to perform physical, manual labor, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
5. Ability to perform maintenance and repairs on moderately complex appliances and plumbing and
electrical systems; clear main sewer lines; repair concrete/bituminous surfaces.
6. Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
