Innovative Blood Resources brings our partners more than 100 years of combined blood industry experience. We provide comprehensive product and service capabilities focusing on value-driven solutions for patients, hospitals, physicians, researchers, and other health care partners.

Blood Services are delivered through Minnesota-based Memorial Blood Centers, and Nebraska Community Blood Bank, located in Lincoln. These locally-operated blood banks have a shared vision to be the best blood centers in America.

The foundation for IBR Biomedical Services grew from the nationally-recognized research and clinical trial contributions of Memorial Blood Centers’ physicians and clinicians in blood banking and transfusion services. We are now making those capabilities available to researchers, offering our expertise in the areas of cellular therapy, clinical trial support, as well as regulatory and quality systems consulting.

Our Lifesaving Network
Innovative Blood Resources (BR) is a non-profit community blood center that was formed in 2012 through the combination of two nationally-recognized, community-based nonprofit blood centers: Minnesota-based Memorial Blood Centers and Nebraska Community Blood Bank. IBR provides comprehensive product and service capabilities focusing on value-driven solutions for patients, hospitals, physicians, researchers, and other health care partners.

In 2016, IBR announced a strategic partnership with New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe), expanding clinical capabilities and organizational expertise. IBR provides comprehensive blood products, advanced laboratory services, and enhanced value-driven solutions for hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare partners. Clinical staff also offer expertise in transfusion medicine and biomedical research to help clients meet economic and healthcare changes.

As a division of NYBCe, we are part of a network that is internationally recognized for its high humanitarian impact, including lifesaving blood products, specialty pharmaceuticals, and high-quality clinical, technical, testing, and consultative services for healthcare providers and patients. Our Mission
Today, as part of New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe), we proudly serve as a vital community lifeline dedicated to helping patients and advancing global public health through our four-part mission.
 

1. Provide the highest quality blood and stem cell products and related medical and consultative services to hospitals and patients.
2. Conduct the highest quality, novel, and innovative research in the fields of hematology, blood banking and transfusion medicine, and cellular therapies, thus advancing these fields and positively impacting public health.
3. Develop products, technologies, and services in the fields of hematology, blood banking, transfusion medicine, and cellular therapies with the potential to have worldwide humanitarian impact.
4. Train the next generation of leaders in each of these fields.

Innovative Blood Resources and its divisions, Memorial Blood Centers and Nebraska Community Blood Bank, have been saving and sustaining lives in our communities for more than 100 combined years as independent nonprofit organizations. Dedicated to connecting people who need life-saving blood with those generous volunteers who give, we provide a stable supply of blood and blood components to hospital partners throughout Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, and Wisconsin. With decades of experience collecting, testing, and distributing more than 3 million units of blood, we also provide state-of-the-art laboratory services and biomedical expertise to hospital and clinic partners, national blood centers, biotechnology companies, research institutions, and international clients from Australia to Switzerland.
