Our History and Our Future

International Line Builders was started by a lineman, and is still run by a team of linemen and industry experts. This is a family affair, with many of the original employees and family members still working for the company. What does that say about us? It says people like to work here. They feel safe, secure and challenged. It also says that our founder got it right.

It was 1983 and Marley D. Martin was doing what linemen do best: working hard, raising a family, and trying to find some time to relax on the weekend. Just over a decade later, MDU Resources Group, Inc., bought International Line Builders, formed MDU Construction Service Group (CSG), and watched, as we became the flagship property for the newly formed subsidiary.

Today, International Line Builders, along with its many resources, is a full service electrical distribution and transmission power line construction company. Throughout the West, we take care of our customers so they can take care of theirs.
