Company Overview
As our name suggests, Prelude is built on a belief that “the best is yet to come.” We operate under the premise that our elders play an important role in our lives at every stage of life’s journey. We believe elders have value, purpose and a future. The wisdom they bring to us through the legacy of their lives is a valuable asset and one which deserves honor, respect and a forum for engagement.
The silver trumpet in our logo symbolizes the foundation of this belief. The silver trumpet is first referenced in the Bible in the book of Numbers, where Moses records the following instructions: “Make two trumpets of hammered silver, and use them for calling the community together and for having the camps set out.” (Numbers 10:2) The trumpets were to be used as a signal to draw together as a community both in times of need as well as times of rejoicing, and to set us out in unified direction.
This calling together here and now is an important prelude of a future sounding of the trumpet. Ultimately on the last days of earth there will be a final trumpet call gathering us together to move forward as referenced in I Corinthians 15:52 which states, “we will be changed, in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable…. .”
