  • MaineHealth Medical Group – Cardiovascular Surgery program is the largest in the state of Maine, performing 1,100 open-heart surgeries per year. The Congenital Heart practice serves more than 3,600 patients annually in the outpatient setting, from across Maine and into New Hampshire.     Position Summary

  • Under the general direction of a Director or Senior Director, the Administrative Specialist II supports a combination of administrative, practice operation, and clerical programmatic needs. Combined, these two services consist of 14 physicians, 36 Advanced Practice Providers, and 27 support staff, providing care in 6 locations and 4 hospital units. This position is responsible for coordinating meetings for providers and leadership, supporting the operational needs of the practices, and other clerical duties as assigned.  The position requires a high level of organizational skills, an ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the day.

    ** Healthcare experience is preferred

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: 4-5 years of experience in an administrative support role preferred. Demonstrated experience with all Microsoft Office suite products.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.

    • Strong organizational skills.
