Ellie Mental Health is seeking knowledgeable, experienced and passionate individuals to lead our outpatient clinics in this mission through adoption of our core values: determination, compassion, authenticity, creativity, humor and acceptance.
- Master’s Degree or higher education in mental health discipline
- Independently licensed with a Minnesota-issued clinical practice license (e.g., LISCW, LMFT, LPCC, LP)
- Board-approved licensure Supervisor (BBHT, BOSW, BMFT, BP)
- 5+ year experience leading multi-disciplinary team of therapists
- KPI (key performance indicator) driven with the ability to manage and execute on a strategic plan and budget.
- Strong problem-solving and executive skill sets; Excellent communication skills
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and changing environment.
- Available to be on site 85% during office hours.
- Demonstrates exceptional knowledge in the field of psychotherapy and mental health treatment.
Reporting & Supervision
- Reports to Regional Operations Director
- Oversees 30+ pre-licensed and independently licensed therapists depending on site(s) size
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Develop (in partnership with leadership) and execute a strategic, multidisciplinary staffing plan to expand Ellie's capacity to meet the needs of the communities it serves by optimizing both the physical space of the clinic as well as the use of telehealth to achieve client access goals.
- Partner with talent acquisition to develop a strategic hiring plan aimed to recruit and maintain a diverse and well-rounded team of therapists who are equipped with the skills and training to meet the unique needs of the diverse populations we serve.
- Create and implement clinician development plans for all therapists (license and pre-licensed) focusing on practice management, clinical compliance, and clinical specialization and fulfillment in practice with a goal of coaching all clinicians to build and maintain a clinical caseload that meets or exceeds client access expectations.
- Proactively identifies clinician performance barriers and actively troubleshoots issues to achieve client access expectations.
- Review staff documentation metrics and trends to ensure timely documentation completion and best practices to meet compliance standards.
- Provide initial and ongoing training for all clinicians in areas including but not limited to; EHR system, clinical compliance, case load management, client care, professional boundaries, clinical documentation, and productivity goals.
- Mediate escalated interpersonal employee issues and concerns.
- Actively coach to expected performance levels. Manage the full cycle of Performance Management with Regional Clinical Operations Director and HR support.
- Conduct clinicians’ annual Performance Reviews: Renew supervision plans annually at time of Performance Review
- Participate in and contribute to weekly clinic director meeting, quarterly MN leadership meetings, and additional meetings and initiatives required for the role.
- Provide 1:1 consultation with all therapy staff to review productivity, caseload, and clinical documentation (minimum interval; Licensed provider once monthly for an hour; Non-Licensed provider twice monthly)
- Oversee 245i Clinic Supervision and Consultation for clinic locations, including facilitation of a monthly case consultation meeting, ensure that all staff meet their monthly requirements.
- Reviews and signs documentation of pre-licensed providers (i.e., treatment plans, diagnostic assessments, discharge summaries, etc.)
- Provides clinical oversight to clinic’s employees congruent with state regulations and Ellie policies.
- Responsible for ensuring that site-specific targets related to client census, client access, patient satisfaction, and employee satisfaction are met, and that client care is of the highest quality.
- Manage and execute on a budget while forecasting future needs and identifying areas for further development or improvement of services.
- Proactively identifies opportunity for new initiatives and improvements to enhance both the clinician and client experience.
- Responsible for building a strong team culture and fostering inner and inter departmental/clinic collaboration.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental leaders across Ellie to implement strategies for fiscal and clinical efficiency.
- Optimize use of physical office space by clinical staff to offer maximum availability around in-person appointment options for existing and new Ellie clients.
- Provide timely response to concerns raised by clients, clinicians, or external stakeholders.
- Serve as point of contact for building management related issues or concerns.
- Identify creative opportunities to improve client care, quality, and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement EMH policies and procedures, communicate changes to clinicians, and measure progress of new or ongoing initiatives.
- Represents Ellie in external relationships with the community, partnering with marketing and outreach to drive engagement efforts in clinic's surrounding communities.
- Collaborate with specialty programs and specialized population support leads to implement unique programming and innovation within each outpatient clinic based on market demands.
- Provide direction and support regarding EHR use and documentation best practices.
- Review and provide same day response, via Teams and/or email items during work week.
- Respond to tech support requests of staff and escalate as needed to Ellie IT
- Promote staff engagement and support staff use of Microsoft Teams
