Job Title
Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist (ACTF)
Job Description

Eagle Health is seeking a Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist to join our team in support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Anti-Corruption Center.

The fight against corruption is a key challenge of our lifetime. As the President said in the National Security Strategy, the United States is committed to addressing “the fight against corruption as the core national security interest it is.” Corruption also impedes development across all sectors and robs citizens of the dignity and progress they so richly deserve. To strengthen, elevate, and integrate anti-corruption across USAID’s work over the long term, the USAID Administrator Samantha Power activated the Anti-Corruption Task Force on June 25, 2021 and, more recently, established the new Anti-Corruption Center (ACC) on September 12, 2023, within USAID’s recently established Bureau for Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG).

The Communications Specialist position is located in DRG/ACC, which recruits motivated staff who want to help boost and shape the Agency’s response to anti-corruption, one of the Administrator’s signature efforts. A Director and Senior Advisor for Anti-Corruption leads DRG/ACC, which has four teams: (1) Program Support, Planning, and Response, (2) Technical Excellence and Integration, (3) Experimentation, Innovation, and Learning, and (4) Policy, Partnerships, and Coalition Building.

The Communications Specialist will be an integral member of the Policy, Partnerships, and Coalition Building Team. The position reports to the ACC Communications Officer and will work in close collaboration with other ACC members to support communications, public engagement, and event planning. This position will advance our work in this arena by leveraging opportunities to convey key messages and galvanize new partnerships, including through the launch of the new Anti-Corruption Center and a major multilateral gathering in December 2023.

The Specialist will work with the Communications Officer and others on the DRG Bureau and ACC to develop and advance communications messages, curate content on communications platforms, and support the Agency’s strategic engagement in anti-corruption related events.

Duties:

  • Assist with the organization and production of DRG/ACC-hosted internal and external events, including potentially events at international gatherings and launches of specific programs or products, etc.
  • Assist with communications needs as they arise, such as preparing public statements, Agency Notices, newsletter content, social media content, talking points and remarks, and other public-facing materials
  • Provide copy editing and graphic design support to DRG/ACC staff as needed
  • Respond to time-sensitive tasks and requests from other USAID Bureaus and Independent Offices to support inquiries from stakeholders, including press, Congress, or Agency leadership
  • Support communications meeting planning and execution, including providing agendas and notes
  • Provide weekly progress updates to the ACC Leadership, Team Leads, and Communications Officer
  • Review of domestic and worldwide anti-corruption research and media coverage as relevant
  • Arrange meetings with relevant internal and external actors and follow up on meeting actions
  • Participate in internal and external events, conferences, and other relevant gatherings
