Adjunct instructor teaching for nursing clinical in one or more specialty settings for the BSN nursing program in the College of Arts and Sciences.  Clinical teaching opportunities in maternal/child and pediatrics are available for Fall 2023.

●     Teaching in clinical settings, specifically maternal/child, pediatrics, and/ or other specialty settings as qualified.

●     Evaluation of students in clinical settings, including assignment grading.

●     Collaborate with a teaching team within the course.

●     Enthusiasm for teaching and nursing practice

●     Displays content area expertise

●     Ability to work as part of a team and support positive interactions

●     Strong communication skills with the ability to provide substantive feedback

●     Flexibility and problem-solving skills

●     Respectful of diverse talents and perspectives

●      A minimum of 5 years clinical experience in primary specialty is necessary; clinical experience in an additional nursing specialty is welcome. 

●      Previous experience as a nurse educator in an academic setting or as a preceptor of students or new nursing employees would be an asset.

A bachelor’s degree in nursing is required; master’s degree is preferred. A clinical focus with practice in adult medical/surgical and/or psych/mental health settings is necessary.  Current Minnesota RN licensure or eligibility required.
