**This a hybrid role and will work out of our Arden Hills, MN offices**

The Boston Scientific Global Business Services Team (GBS) is acted to driving value and backing for our customers through our shared-services model. We are represented around the globe and provide several different services to BSC, such as Accounting, Payments, T&E, and much more. We are excited to be expanding our US-based Collections department and are seeking a results-oriented, client-focused, and experienced manager to play an integral role in growing this new team in a secondary location.

The primary responsibility of the Manager, Collections is to oversee day-to-day operations within the collections department and provide guidance and backing in reviewing assigned portfolios to meet the company's quarterly KPI targets. The individual in this role will also be accountable for implementing processes and controls to ensure write-offs are minimized and billing issues are identified and resolved, as well as monitoring customers' performance against approved payment plans and managing all account assignments to our third-party collection agency.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the productivity and address/resolve escalations from the Collections teams.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and serve as point of escalation in matters concerning collection strategy and customer communication.
  • Provide Analysis for Divisional Reviews and meet reporting deadlines for SOX compliance.
  • Review processes and proactively identify key operational areas of improvement, work with the respective departments, and propose enhancement for automation and efficiency.
  • Develop and document requirements when implementing new processes and systems that affect the departments
  • Effectively manage relationships with internal and external clients
  • Demonstrate leadership and team empowerment, providing continuous coaching
  • Participate in the hiring process and yearly performance reviews
  • Other special projects/duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing, engaging, and leading team members.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the order to cash processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with relevant technology/platforms and investigative thinking to backing solutions for operational efficiency
  • Demonstrated process improvement experience (Automate, Improve, Design, Streamline)
  • Experience informing complex subjects in a clear and concise manner to a wide variety of stakeholders with differing levels of technical and business knowledge

  • Accounting, Analytics, detail oriented, capable to assess broader picture
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance but also a team player sharing ideas and project responsibilities
  • Ability to prioritize and show flexibility as needed
  • Ability to work under deadline pressures while maintaining a positive work environment
