Summary:

A dedicated civil and environmental engineering company is seeking a Project Manager to join the team! This individual will be essential in the development and management of client relationships, as well as project management. The Project Manager will collaborate with business partners to develop new client relationships and assist the team in the design and development of engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

* Oversight of assigned projects to ensure all work meets the project scope, schedule, and budget

* Developing the scope of work, schedule, and fees for each project assigned

* Coordinating project deliverables with Group Leaders and Office Managers

* Developing a Project Work Plan to be distributed to the project team

* Developing a thorough understanding of client's needs, expectations, and objectives

* Participation in qualification and/or proposal submittals and presentations for clients

* Participation in the securing of funding with State and Federal agencies, if required

* Applying engineering experiences and expertise to assist the project design team with the development of engineering solutions to meet client expectations

* Providing project team with daily guidance and oversight, and answering questions as needed

* Monitoring and ensuring the prompt delivery and payment of client invoices

* Ensuring project and project team adherence to established standards and policies related to the execution and management of specific project needs

* Serving as a trusted advisor for clients

* Collaborating with Business Development to secure new clients and work

* Travel as needed for project coordination and client meetings, within a 90-mile radius of employer location

* Other duties as assigned/required

Requirements:

* BS degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

* Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Minnesota, or the ability to obtain registration within 6 months

* Minimum 8 to 10 years of work experience within civil engineering

* Complete, thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering and engineering contracts

* Ability to market and sell engineering services, prepare engineering records and write concise technical reports, supervise and lead project teams through necessary steps to successful project execution, and interpret engineering design, regulatory, funding, and admin codes, multitask, and manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record - individual must be insurable
