We are seeking a Transportation Management Analyst Intern to join our Supply Chain team in the Freemont, CA facility. In a context of implementation of a Transportation Management System (TMS) at Seagate, this position will be focused on developing the processes, methods and tools to ensure the highest level of quality of the master data used by the Transportation Management System. Ensuring high quality master data will enable significant cost reduction and service level improvements.

About the role - you will:

Responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding the master data used by the Transportation Management System, by interviewing Seagate TMS experts and reviewing Transportation Management processes
  • Setting priorities related to master data quality based on impacts to Seagate efficiency
  • For each "top priority" master data type:
  • Develop a process to maintain master data
  • Develop tools to "automate" determination of master data, which may include creating reports, creating statistical models, etc...
  • Document and implement processes and tools
  • Develop tools to measure the quality of the TMS master data
About you:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Supply Chain or Data Science
  • Passionate about Logistics and /or Data Management
  • Knowledge of business analytics tools such as Alteryx, Business Objects or Tableau
  • Strong data analytics (business and supply chain) including data visualization and scenario planning.
  • Ability to support after-hour calls as this role will interact with a global team.
  • Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems is a plus
  • Passionate about making systems more efficient, reliable and user-friendly
  • Keen to discover "state-of-the-art" TMS capabilities
  • Self-motivated, a continuous learner, with the ability to stay prioritized and organized.
  • Attention to detail
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Experience working with global teams.
