• The primary function of the MCAD Designer/Drafter is to support an MCAD data migration project. Reconciling all the Solidworks CAD files in preparation for loading them into PDM system.
• Locate, visualize, and verify quality system drawing PDF matches latest Solidworks drawing file.
• Identify Solidworks file reference issues due to missing in context references, file renaming, etc.
• Solve Solidworks file reference issues and pack-n-go data set to reconciled directory.
• Report issues to project team for resolution strategy.
• Ensure that quality system requirements are being met.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

Experience(s), education, and knowledge:

• Certificate, Diploma, or Associates Degree in Mechanical Design/Drafting.
• 3+ years of experience in a Mechanical Drafter/Designer role.
• Proficient using SolidWorks 2018 or later versions.
• Using SolidWorks, experience troubleshooting file reference issues. Understands how to determine references are missing and determine best solution required to fix them.
• Using SolidWorks, experience troubleshooting complex models derived from advanced modeling techniques such as multi-bodies, surfacing, sheet-metal, configurations, design tables, equations, master modeling, etc.
• Proficient using MS Office products, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
• Multi-tasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in timely manner.
• Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
