We are seeking a professional with prior experience as an Accounting Manager who is ready to use their skills to drive business results and deliver high quality service to our clients.

This client-facing Manager position is a critical role for our team. You will be a key asset to our clients and assist them on engagements that require a variety of skills, such as:

• Advise, recommend, and implement best practices
• Assist the Client's team with A/R, A/P, cash, and payroll tasks
• Lead or support month end tasks - account recs, ledger tie-outs, etc.
• Cash and treasury management tasks
• Assist in streamlining accounting processes and improving procedures

• Lead and coordinate external financial audit activities

• Develop and monitor accounting policies, as required
• Implement appropriate internal controls
• Issue timely, accurate, and complete financial statements and analysis monthly
• Due diligence tasks - preparing to acquire or to sell
• Various projects related to the Client's growth

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• High level of proficiency in MS Excel, various accounting and ERP systems
• Enjoy working with multiple clients in a variety of industries
• Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with clients and internal team
• Strong change management skills
• Reside in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN area

Preferred Experience

• CPA (Active or Inactive) and/or MBA

• QuickBooks or NetSuite experience
• Background in mergers, acquisitions, and integrations
• Prior engagements in consulting or contract work
• Experience working with private equity-backed companies

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position with some flexibility on work schedule and location.
  

Work Environment/ Travel

• The work is performed remotely from home, at the Growth Operators office in downtown Minneapolis, and on-site at client locations.
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
  
• Travel is primarily local during the business day; some out-of-town and overnight travel is expected.
