Our buyers are focused on keeping our inventory in-stock so we can deliver an amazing customer experience as fast as possible. You will be responsible for bringing a happy, customer focused (internal and external) attitude to the office and collaborating with everyone here to do some awesome things. Our buyers need to have a love of digging deep into the data to make small changes that add up to big results. A successful buyer has an appetite to know their products inside and out, how our customers will use them, and how they move through our systems and facilities. They will be excited to work with our sales, marketing, accounting, distribution center, and customer support teams every day to help solve problems for our customers.

Buyer Responsibilities:

• Make purchasing decisions that lead us to meet our sales and inventory goals
• Become a product and market expert in your categories
• Develop strong relationships with our vendor partners
• Understand market trends and competition
• Maintain product and purchase order data in our system
• Be an ambassador for your products at DecksDirect

Buyer Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High aptitude for learning new software
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• A passion for data and analysis
• A sense of humor (required)
• Ability to travel 2-3 times each year
• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of buying or procurement experience
