Supply Chain Manager - Mechanical
Support sourcing initiatives of driving down the total cost of goods/services while maintaining a continuous flow of supply into our facility.
This role will support the business by working in collaboration with the purchasing team, business units, cross-functional leaders, and key suppliers.
The Sr. Mechanical Buyer will create strong internal relationships that create a critical linkage between Supply Chain, Operations, and Leadership.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Conducts performance evaluations of vendors
  • Develop reporting metrics that provide historical views of delivery performance
  • Create order forecasting mechanisms for metal fabricated parts
  • Analyze inventory position and provide forecast to support quarter-end and year-end targets
  • Analyze pricing trends within key supply categories
  • Perform historical price analysis at part number level
  • Identify sourcing strategy within the category to optimize cost
  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase the efficiency of the supply chain and profitability for the company
  • Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to the consolidation of warehousing and distribution
  • Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies
  • Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on the availability and cost of supplies and materials
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments

Requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering background
  • Understanding of GD&T

Required Abilities:
  • Mechanical/Fabrication procurement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of company products and logistics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22C.F.R. *120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee. License exception Technology and software under restriction (TSR) defined in 15 CFR 740.6 may permit a person from Country Group B.
