Job Description

Avant Energy seeks a Manager of Financial Analysis to collaborate with senior management in making good decisions for our clients.

Responsibilities

Avant prepares financial analyses and projections for our consulting clients and for the municipal power agencies that we manage. These clients are planning to invest at least $1 billion in capital over the next decade. Our clients' planning horizons are very long-term.

The Manager of Financial Analysis's core responsibility is to evaluate a broad range of possible economic circumstances in preparing financial projections and analyses. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President.

In performing this job, we expect the Manager of Financial Analysis to:

* Develop financial models and analyses, including performing scenario analysis

* Creatively develop alternative courses of action to pursue

* Exercise judgment in evaluating analyses and preparing recommendations to management

* Participate in bond financing transactions to help our clients raise capital

* Manage team members on a project basis as part of a matrix organization

Qualifications

The role requires the experience and skills to perform the responsibilities listed above. We envision a successful candidate that:

* Possesses an MBA

* Has a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with complex financial analysis

* Can deal with complexity and uncertainty

* Communicates concisely and effectively
