JOB SUMMARY

The Event Experience Captain is responsible for ensuring a smooth event. They are the first line of communication between the client and event staff. They ensure all protocols, laws, and requests are met. The Event Experience Captain is a hard working, strong willed, and leadership driven individual.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Effectively champions the company's vision, mission, culture, and overall business objectives.
• Supports a high-performance team culture that values continuous improvements, learning and a commitment to quality.
• Works directly with the Venue Manager to ensure all event information that is needed is passed along to the appropriate channels and team members.
• Collaborates with bar, kitchen, and event staff to ensure a smooth event.
• Assists with clean up, organization, and efficiency.
• Problem solves with, and supports, all event team members as needed.
• Oversight of the venue when the Venue Manager is unavailable.
• Manages day of event staff.
• Ensures event timelines are met.
• Develops processes to help organize events.
• Ensures the event requests and requirements are being met
• Cleans and organizes such as dishware and bussing of cups and glassware.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Toast and Tripleseat

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years in Events
• Banquet Event Captain experience a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
• Occasional forward bending and squatting.

SALARY AND REQUIREMENTS

• Competitive base pay ($17 to $19 per hour based on experience)
• Flexible scheduling/availability

Part time hours based on event schedule, nights and weekend availability a must
