Primary Purpose:

We are looking to add an Accounts Receivable Specialist help our accounting team with daily invoicing, collecting customer payments, and resolving invoice discrepancies.

This position will be primarily done in office however we are open to a hybrid work environment with the option to have some work from home days each week or month.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the company's daily accounting functions run accurately
  • Update financial records
  • Perform account reconciliations and prepare related reports for management.
  • Process daily transactions related to business dealings including accounts receivable, receipts and cash transactions
  • Track cash applications including discrepancies, refunds, adjustments and misc items
  • Maintain filing systems
  • Assist with other accounting projects in the office as needed.
  • Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, or mailing attention.
  • Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections.
  • Receive and record all cash, checks, credit card, and ACH payments daily.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • At least 2 years in a similar role
  • Critical Thinking, effectively solve complicated problems
  • Ability to maintain extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time based on daily requirements.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Problem solver/ adapts to changing needs as they occur.
  • Execute skills in independent judgment and discretion while utilizing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Exceptional written and communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
  • Knowledge of Practice Management or similar time billing system
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with interruptions
  • Ability to communicate in a friendly, professional manner
  • Strong attention to detail
