The PFEP Coordinator will assist with the Plan For Every Part (PFEP) database and must be able to work effectively with other groups such as manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, planning, and distribution to ensure accuracy of the part data and execution of part changes. The position will assist on new product development project. As an individual contributor, the PFEP assistant primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist the PFEP Analyst with the PFEP Template with input from all affected parties from suppliers to customers
  • Responsibility for using root cause countermeasure process to identify and provide solutions as related to PFEP
  • Working with the PFEP Analyst to comprehend future requirements and update PFEP accordingly.
  • Coordinate with Value Stream Manager and other stakeholders to thoroughly understand line rates and replenishment Market levels.
  • Provide input and support for new product introductions along with phasing out products to support the NPD (New Product Development) process.
  • Assist the PFEP Analyst in the E&O Process.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Functional

  • Controlled maintenance of the PFEP following established guidelines and standard work
  • Update PFEP data on regular cadence.
  • Analyzes production requirements and makes recommendations for optimal material flow, storage and delivery.
  • Provides data and supports lineside & replenishment market calculations
  • Provides support as required to manage Kanban and VMI solutions with suppliers
  • Participate in Kaizen events as required
  • Maintain material information in SAP
  • Root cause overstock inventory
  • Remove obsolete and low usage items from production supermarket

    Leadership

  • Adapts to change by identifying implication of change for Pentair and own job and adjusting as needed and working with others as appropriate to implement change initiatives.
  • Takes accountability for meeting commitments and deadlines.

    Interpersonal

  • Ability to work in environment prone to deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines with internal and external resources.
  • Provide clear and concise written and verbal communications.

    Business

  • Understand and use business metrics in order to evaluate and recommend actions required to achieve Inventory Objectives.
  • Analyze proposed changes in material planning and assess the impact on day-to-day activity.
  • Ensure thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately apply policies and procedures in compliance with government laws.
  • Develops relationships across business organizations

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Production and Inventory Control, Material Handling, or Manufacturing preferred.

  • Experience in material control and production planning environment.

  • Evidence of analytical aptitude and communications skills

  • ERP knowledge - SAP system requirements strongly preferred.
