Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting and supporting the efforts of the Fair and Responsible Banking and CRA Officer in the research, reporting and administration of the Fair Lending Program.
Primary Duties:
- Manages and directs all data collection activities to support robust fair lending statistical analysis for consumer and small business. Responsible for the quality of the final data to be used for fair lending analysis.
- Conducts fair lending analysis to include Regression Analysis, Redlining Reviews, HMDA Peer Analysis, as well as Fair Lending and UDAAP Assessments.
- Participates in file review activities for underwriting and pricing exceptions and matched pair testing. Conducts independent file reviews as needed.
- Assists with the review of customer complaints and marketing materials.
- Coordinates and participates in quarterly Regulatory Fair Lending and CRA Committee meetings and any related subcommittees. Gathers and distributes all meeting materials prior to meeting date. Records and distributes meeting minutes to all participants.
- Disseminates and catalogues bank underwriting and pricing policies and procedures for consumer and small business lines. Remains current on all underwriting and pricing policy changes.
- Coordinates and documents remedial actions required for corrective action and resolution to possibly include root cause analysis.
- Participates in the annual fair lending risk assessment and assists in identifying emerging fair lending risks.
- Assists in conducting fair lending testing and identifying material developments for reporting to senior management.
- Provides guidance and oversight on HMDA compliance, data collection, monitoring and reporting. Responsible for the annual HMDA LAR filing.
- The Fair & Responsible Banking Compliance Manager may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Required:
- B.A.
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager Certification (CRCM) preferred, but not required
- 5+ years of Consumer Lending or Compliance experience in a Banking environment
- Knowledge of the Fair and Responsible Banking laws including but is not limited to Regulations B (ECOA), C (HMDA), Fair Housing Act, Regulation AA (UDAAP)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including SharePoint
- Ability to identify trends, interpret key risk indicators, and apply learned compliance techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to research complex regulatory compliance issues
- Detail oriented with strong math, statistical and analytic skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management within the bank
