Job SummaryUT Southwestern has an opening for the position of Software Engineer, Biomedical Engineering The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center would like to hire a full-time software engineer to join the Biomedical Engineering Department. The research project focuses on developing portable/wearable imaging devices and applying them to preclinical and clinical studies. The ideal candidate will have one to two years' software engineering experience, preferably involving development of biomedical devices, wearable device or imaging device, or automation using single board computers and microcontrollers. Responsibilities include programing, testing, maintaining, and documenting application software for new imaging devices in close collaboration with of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and clinicians to improve patient outcome.
