Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Electronics Engineering Technician in their San Jose, CA location. This position opening is on a contract basis with minimum initial contract period of 12 months with the possibility of transitioning to full time for the right candidate.

The scope of the position includes maintaining the cleanliness of the hardware lab and organizing and maintaining parts inventory. Additional responsibilities include BOM management from purchase/receipt of parts, researching alternate parts as necessary, kitting for board assembly and delivery and pick up of assembled boards. The position also requires experience in soldering and rework, working knowledge of standard test equipment and the ability to help test and bring up new board designs. The position requires to understand the schematic and PCB layout.

Requirements:

* Must have a minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience
* Proficient soldering and rework skills.
* Ability to read and understand board schematics, datasheets, application notes and other reference documentation
* Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
* Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels within the organization
* Must possess excellent communication and writing skills along with formal meeting / presentation skills
* Familiarity with BOM management, parts compatibility, and purchasing
* Ability to run bring up and test procedures, record results, and write test reports

Desired responsibilities and experience include, but are not limited to:
* The position requires familiarity with CAD tools such as schematic capture and gerber viewers.
* High level of competence and experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
* Experience with board rework and modification involving components
