Head of Finance & Accounting - Portfolio

THE OPPORTUNITY

Unique opportunity for a finance professional with a highly entrepreneurial mindset to lead the finance and M&A function in an ecommerce buyout group.

We buy large D2C brands across the United States and Europe. In the past years we have built a holding of D2C brands currently doing 200Mn in Sales, all bootstrapped and profitable. Now in the next phase of our ecommerce journey we want to buy and operate D2C assets at scale, centralizing their backend functions and consolidating an industry worth $200-250 billion globally and building a holding of next generation retail brands in the process.

For that we have the backing of top VCs across Asia, Europe and the US and hiring top talents to lead on the ground each business.

THE ROLE

You will take the lead in managing the finance function of one of our portfolio company - an iconic direct-to-consumer brand doing 30M in sales and growing >90% YoY.

You will need to establish the finance function of the company, managing cashflow, treasury and accounting and business intelligence, liaising among all company functions and the central team.
The objective is to get the financials to public market standard by end of 2022. The role will naturally evolve into CFO of the company in a 2 years timeframe.

Additionally, you will support the financial diligence in the next companies will be buying.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have at least
  • 3 years of experience in a top-tier accounting firm and you have done financial audits in the past
  • 3 years of experience in a finance & accounting department of a corporate or a small-medium size company
• You have experience in working with Netsuite
• You have a CPA
• You have exceptional people skill and are fully fluent in English
• You are very organized and enjoy working with numbers
• You have strong interest in direct-to-consumer brands
• You are a self-starter and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
