Overview

NV5 (NASDAQ: NVEE) is a provider of engineering and consulting services to public and private sector clients, delivering solutions through six business verticals: Testing, Inspection & Consulting; Infrastructure; Utility Services; Environmental Health Sciences; Buildings & Program Management; and Geospatial Technology. With offices nationwide and abroad, NV5 helps clients plan, design, build, test, certify, and operate projects that improve the communities where we live and work.

As engineers, architects, construction/program managers, environmental professionals and beyond, we play a significant role in shaping our communities through the services we provide. We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team focused on Delivering Solutions and Improving Lives.

NV5's Wilsonville office provides a full range of geotechnical engineering, geological, mining, and environmental consulting services. Our team includes more than 60 dedicated engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, and support personnel; but we are part of a more than 3,000-person firm offering a wide variety of opportunities nationwide.

Our Wilsonville office is seeking a Project Engineering Geologist to join our engineering geology and mine consulting practice. Projects will be focused primarily in Western Oregon and Washington but include sites across the Pacific Northwest.

Our Engineering Geology (EG) Group works hand-in-hand with our Geotechnical Engineering Group to characterize site conditions and provide design recommendations for both private and public projects. Our team investigates and designs mitigations for geohazards including landslides and rockfalls. In addition, our EG Group works with a variety of miners in the construction aggregate and industrial minerals sectors to evaluate mine resource potential, develop mine plan strategies, and assist miners in obtaining operating permits and maintaining permit compliance.

We implement the latest technology to enhance our site evaluations. We partner with NV5's Geospatial Group to collect aerial imagery and elevation data using unmanned aerial systems (UAS, or "drones"). We regularly use ArcGIS for analyzing topography, site history, and slope hazard potential.

Responsibilities

In your role as a Project Engineering Geologist, you'll be working alongside NV5's Principal Engineering Geologist, supporting geological and geotechnical investigations, geohazard evaluations, and mine resource and permitting projects.

Position will include assisting with or writing proposals, developing project budgets, performing, or overseeing field-based and desktop analyses including geological research or LIDAR data analysis using ArcGIS, and preparing technical reports or permitting documents for our clients.

We are looking for exceptional individuals with the ability to support our efforts in the Pacific Northwest and to develop and maintain local client relationships. This position offers an opportunity to use classical geological skills applied to real-world problems for both mineral resource supply and engineering challenges.
