Collections Specialist

Kelly is seeking a Collections Specialist to work with one of our clients, a global industry leader with over 175 years of success, on a direct hire basis in Coon Rapids. You'll enjoy being part of an organization that is known for strong employee retention and provides resources for long-term career progression and development. This position offers the flexibility to work partly from home and partly on site (hybrid model)!

The Collections Specialist will:

• Contact customers by call or email to collect on past due invoices
• Negotiate payment arrangements where needed
• Ensure that payments are received when expected
• Work with Credit Analysts as needed on collection accounts
• Provide periodic updates to management
• Escalate high-risk accounts to the Credit Manager
• Eliminate issues that prevent customers from paying their invoices
• Investigate and resolve over-payments, short-payments, unapplied payments, duplicate payments, open credits, and other open deductions
• Extend courtesy calls to new customers receiving their invoices for the first time

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional customer service, accounting, finance, or similar office experience
• Experience with credit and collections preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
