Position Purpose
As an integral part of the Treasury Risk Management team, you will be a part of AgriBank's mission to support the people who feed the world. Duties in this role include monthly process and reporting, variance analysis and explanation, and presentation of Treasury risk results. In addition, this position ensures appropriate model theory, set-up, and assumptions are utilized in the creation of monthly interest rate risk, liquidity, and balance sheet reports. You will independently recommend, test and validate model change proposals, and improve analytical modeling and data management processes. Finally, you will effectively articulate risk position to MRC and Treasury management and engage in conversation regarding risk management strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, statistics, actuarial science, mathematics, or a related field
  • Master's degree, CFA, or FRM, or demonstrated intent to obtain those certifications, preferred
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in financial analysis with 4 years of financial modeling experience
  • General knowledge of the banking industry and asset/liability management practices
  • Working knowledge of options pricing and valuation
  • General knowledge of loan prepayments and callable bonds
  • Working knowledge of interest rate risk modeling, including term structure modeling
  • Some familiarity with project management and process improvement concepts helpful, but not required
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Advanced expertise in MS Excel (including VBA)
  • Database experience with querying, reporting, managing large data sets
  • Excellent research, analytic, and valuation skills
  • General knowledge of financial, economic, and accounting concepts
  • General knowledge of the banking industry and asset/liability management practice
  • Proficiency in processing complex, detailed information in an accurate and thorough manner
  • Proficiency in organizing material and information in a systematic way
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to exchange information effectively with peers, supervisor, and senior management
  • Must have the ability to work independently to drive results and improve processes within the Treasury group
  • Mastery of QRM, other supporting analytical tools, and advanced understanding of complex financial instruments and interest rate risk modeling
  • Responsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of AgriBank's systems and data
