PURPOSE: To ensure guests to Mall of America have a positive and safe shopping and entertainment experience. This position is accountable for maintaining the property electrical systems in a state of good repair.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

*Replace light bulbs and ballast.

*Provide electrical assistance to all departments.

*Maintain safe working environment for all team members and guests.

*Assist in annual switch gear maintenance duties on 3rd shift for 6-8 week period on annual basis.

*Assist in performing maintenance, service and repairs on all Mall of America electrical equipment including, but not limited to the following: lighting, service panels, motors, controls, electrical switch gear, electrical distribution systems, outlets and displays.

*Assist in set up and monitor electrical needs and requirements for promotional events and marketing projects.

*Ensure the overall safety of the immediate work area as well as surrounding areas.

*Provide outstanding internal and external guest service at all times.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

*Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to snow removal, cleaning and security detail.

*Perform other duties related to building maintenance and repair.

*Assist other departments as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

*Must be at least 18 years of age.

*Working knowledge of the safe handling and operation of tools equipment and materials used in electrical maintenance and repairs.

*1-3 years previous electrical job related experience.

*Strong mechanical aptitude

*Basic reading, writing, arithmetic and communication skills, usually acquired through a high school education or equivalent.

*Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
