The Pricing Analyst provides analysis of market pricing for Specialty's generic and biosimilar drug portfolio, collects competitive intelligence, and implements pricing changes. To accomplish this the position will need to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and leverage strategic mindset and deep analytic and financial modeling skills coupled with project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Support Pricing operations
Log incoming competitive intelligence on pharmaceutical pricing and notify other team members of the pricing team on movement of key drugs.
Assess customer price change requests taking into account competitive information, margins, and other factors, and implement and check any price loads.
Propose proactive price changes for multisource product portfolio based on competitive intel, market share, and customer sales, in response to market changes or for general competitive advantage.
Work with Marketing on customer communications.
Build RFP analysis for new business opportunities.
Provide reporting to stakeholders and ensure timely and accurate loads of discounts.
Knowledge Management and Process Improvement
Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
Capture process improvement ideas from the team and communicate to other groups.
Document current state processes and discuss improvement opportunities.
Project Management of x-Functional Initiatives
Lead process between Pricing and Sourcing for price adjustments based on manufacturer price changes, switches and discontinuations
Manage Quarterly Reset process, acting as a liaison between buy-side and sell-side teams and refreshing tracker file to keep it up to date.
Lead implementation and support of workflow and tracking automation solutions
Critical Skills
4 year Degree or equivalent experience
Typically requires 4+ years of professional experience
Advanced Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SAP and Tableau required. SAP (front end and BW) highly preferred.
Strategic thinker with strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
Experience with financial modeling
Strong attention to detail
Process Improvement mindset
