Job Description
In this position, you be hands with our customers in all aspects of permanent mold and sand-casting manufacturing processes!

Foundry Process Engineer Qualifications: The qualified candidate must have a minimum of three or more years of experience, in the development of permanent mold and sand castings methods, coupled with a knowledge of aerospace casting specifications.  Experience preferred in gating, mold assembly design, using CAD software, project management software, along with developing design concepts for tools, fixtures and related foundry equipment. 

Foundry Process Engineer Education Requirements: The position requires two or four year degree in a technical field.   Having an emphasis or background in NDT, non-ferrous metallurgy, metals processing subjects beneficial.

You will have the opportunity to perform a variety of foundry engineering process duties at a clean modern foundry, with a variety of casting methods and capabilities.

Creating work instructions that are complete, accurate and easy to comprehend is an essential duty of the position, along with updating casting routings.

Continuous Improvements of operations, process and capability, efficiency, and equipment will be performed.  The winning candidate will explore quality/manufacturing process concerns and work with floor operators and supervision in finding solutions. Considers new manufacturing processes, equipment and hardware to improve quality and performance processes.

Communication attributes for the position require strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communications to all levels of operations. The candidate needs to be current with aluminum casting technology and have the ability to convey that working level information to floor supervisors and operators.

You will communicate directly with outside customers or in tandem with our sales and production departments. Work with internal and external tooling shops to build robust molds and fixtures is a regular part of the job along with keeping on top of needed repairs, or improvements.

Problem solving in a team environment with the ability to support or advise sales and be a customer liaison is essential.

Testing using formal experimental and statistical techniques to analyze processes and/or perform root cause analysis of processes.

Time Management be able to manage multiple conflicting priorities at the same time.

SALARY -  $65,000 to $100,000 dependent on years of relevant experience
