Electrical Assembler

Summary:
The Electrical Assembler I is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing electrical components to ensure the highest quality product is built for Test Cells' customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble control panels, electronic breadboards and other electrical components to company specifications.
- Build custom PC boards, cables, harnesses, electronic and electro-mechanical test equipment to engineering specifications.
- Cut and modify jumpers to existing Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) and Flexible Circuit Assemblies (FCA).
- Replace and remove electrical components on PCBAs and FCAs. - Troubleshoot electrical and/or system's issues to isolate failures by wiring up products and monitoring test equipment.
- Operate electrical test equipment including Oscilloscopes, Digital Volt Measures, Function Generators, ESD Guns, and Power Supplies.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months assembly experience required.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Electrical Technician Associates degree or two-year certificate in related field preferred.
- Experience with building and troubleshooting cables and wiring harnesses preferred.
Qualifications:
- Familiar and comfortable with soldering, crimping, and assembling cables and connectors.
- Ability to read engineering schematic and build a circuit that matches the schematic.
- Working knowledge in the proper use of electrical test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Digital Volt Measures and current probes.
- Good coordination, motor skills, and dexterity.

- Must be able to follow both oral and written instructions when performing job duties.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; actively seeks opportunities to improve quality
and monitors own work to ensure quality is met.
- Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and must be able to get along with co-workers.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
The majority of the time is spent in a typical warehouse environment requiring the ability to use assembly machines, a computer, and telephone which requires standing at extended lengths of time. While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The individual in this position will need to stand, reach, bend, stoop, kneel and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include normal vision.

The work environment will have normal lighting and climate control tolerances.
Additionally, the work setting will have moderate noise exposure, i.e. machine noise and light foot traffic. Work is performed in the warehouse facility at a minimum of 40 hours a week.
