Job Description

CoverMyMeds is looking for a SSIS Developer to establish scalable, reliable, data movement and integration processes across our analytics environment. This person will work with data analysts, software developers, ETL/database developers, and DBAs/system administrators to create repeatable, scalable solutions that bring efficiency and standardization to our data environment. This person will work cross-functionally to solve a variety of data movement and integration challenges using a variety of tools.

What You'll Do

As a SSIS Developer/Data Integration Engineer, you will have broad responsibility for CoverMyMeds' data warehousing, operational reporting, and analytics initiatives, including but not limited to:

  • Design and execute key framework components to support our analytical infrastructure including but not limited to:
    • Database tooling (creation, deployments, monitoring, automation)
  • Design new and enhance existing repeatable data movement and integration processes
  • Establish a library of resources for different types of data integration/data movement
  • Establish deployment patterns and packaging to enable power users to self-serve data movement and transformation
  • Partner with product and analytics teams during design phases to create effective integration solutions
  • Work with the Data Solutions leadership team to build out an extensible data tiering and access strategy to support the rapid development and implementation of purpose-built data stores
  • Implement and improve scripts that support the monitoring, management, and execution of ETL processes, server and cloud maintenance
  • Design and implement technical controls to measure and maintain data quality
  • Ensure that we have the tools and processes need to meet SLAs and uptime requirements
  • Deliver solutions and products as part of an agile team using agile methodologies
  • Document everything important you do with our data

About You

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a related technical field, ideally inclusive of database administration, database development, data analysis or data architecture.
  • Understanding of RDBMS normalization and denormalization concepts
  • Strong ETL background using technologies such as DTS, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), shell scripting, Python or .net/Java
  • Around 2 years of relevant software development experience
  • Proficient in performance troubleshooting, indexing, SQL optimization, and benchmarking.
  • Fluency in reading and interpreting data models and T-SQL.
  • Mastery of T-SQL, PL/SQL equivalent development.
  • Expertise in high volume, transactional environments with third party business system integrations
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and techniques is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a highly creative, collaborative, and dynamic environment.
  • Experience with agile development techniques is a plus.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry with healthcare data is a plus.
