Qualified candidates are eligible to go through our lateral selection process and if hired will be placed at the top of the seniority list based on years of service. Patrol Deputies are able to enjoy a life-work balance with schedules that allow for three or more consecutive days off. Retirement benefits include 401a, 457 Plan, and Social Security.

Larimer County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) has an in-depth, robust training program with lots of opportunities for collateral duties such as SWAT(Archer), K-9, Bomb squad, FTO, mentoring, etc. Larimer County is over 2500 square miles of varying terrain, offering opportunities to partner with Emergency Services in disaster-related challenges, such as fires and floods.
