THE ROLE:  Senior Engineer, Network/Security (New York, NY)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Network / Security Engineer to be a part of a team that supports our client base throughout Northern New Jersey and New York City.

Primary responsibilities will be to execute multi-faceted high-end engagements for our customers. You will be responsible for projects, upgrades, and troubleshooting for our customers. You will manage small to large projects including design, implementation and troubleshooting, as well as being a team member on complex engagements involving multiple technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership on complex projects requiring teams of engineers.
• Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively lead the implementation process from design to customer acceptance
• Provide network/security engineering consulting services, including: assessment, design and implementation of network/security products/solutions
• Performing project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of network/security solutions.
• LAN and WAN routing and switching design, configuration and deployment in small to very large and complex environments including Internet Edge architectures.
• Knowledge in the following areas:
• Cisco Route/Switch, FTD and ISE
• Palo Alto and/or Fortinet product suite
• SDN, SD-WAN,
• Cloud Networking
• Load Balancers
• Scripting / Automation.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 5+ years of networking experience, including configuring, analyzing & fixing complex networks
• Knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of the following:
• Network Access Control, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) implementation design, configuration, and deployment
• NGFW/Firewalls/VPNs (Cisco, Palo Alto and Fortinet)

Preferred Skills:

• Relevant Industry Certifications (Networking, Security)
• Cisco CCNP preferred,
• CCIE preferred
• Palo Alto Networks PCNSE
• FortiNet NSE 5 or higher
• Load balancing/Acceleration solutions (Cisco, Citrix, F5, Riverbed) a plus
• Content Security (Cisco ESA/WSA/CWS)
• IDS/IPS solutions (Sourcefire/Palo Alto a plus)
• Malware Prevention (Sourcefire/Palo Alto)
• Two-Factor Authentication (RSA)
• Authentication solutions including 802.1x/RADIUS/TACACS, Cisco ACS and RSA
