Job Description

At Level2, our mission is remission for people with type 2 diabetes. Level2 is an all-new, personalized digital care experience complete with coaching and clinical care, and informed by the latest in diabetes technology/wearables. With real-time information on how food, movement, stress, and sleep all impact glucose levels, Level2 helps people make small changes for big impact.



Level2 is looking for an experienced Mobile Software Engineer to add to our mobile engineering team. Our ideal candidate is someone who is a self-starter and is passionate about delivering excellent mobile applications. Someone with high-energy and a motivation to work on the mobile application.



Primary Responsibilities:


  • Ensure 360-degree observability within systems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly mobile apps that are highly responsive and secure.

  • Contribute to engineering communities of practice, and documents work

  • Participate in various ceremonies and build solutions in an agile environment

  • Perform tests locally as well as in an integrated, distributed environment

  • Promote DevOps style of development.

  • Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues.

  • Review work performed by others and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Participate in product roadmap prioritization

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years of Software Engineering experience
  • 2+ years of software engineering experience building native mobile software for iOS and Android.
  • 2 years with Java, Kotlin, Android SDK OR Swift, Objective-C.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the iOS SDK OR Android SDK

  • CI/CD with automated testing & Release automation ( Azure Devops is a plus )
  • Understanding of the App Store OR Play Store release process.

  • Solid understanding of mobile Security Standards and data protection on devices
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location

  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with SauceLabs for test automation
  • Experience with accessibility (A11y)
  • Knowledge of best practices and coding standards in Mobile applications.
  • Experience with web development technologies, including HTML5, ASP.NET and JavaScript.
  • Experience working in an Agile SCRUM environment is preferred.
