Working at Surescripts Product Innovation, you'll be called upon to coax the right information out of our customers to get at their unmet needs. You'll maximize our deep relationships with our customers and the industry by monetizing our assets. You'll leverage these assetsour nationwide network and the actionable intelligence it deliversto create real value for customers. You'll work to help put the right playersfrom payers to physicians to pharmaciesonto a common network so that they can more effectively communicate and coordinate high-quality and well-informed healthcare.

Job Summary

The Product Analyst will join the Product Innovation Team within Surescripts to play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of a product portfolio. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to become a subject matter expert in all aspects of their product. Candidates must be able to effectively manage multiple projects, deadlines and deliverables. The ability to effectively communicate cross functionality, manage ongoing collaborative initiatives and champion product utilization/improvement internally and externally is essential for success.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a product subject matter expert
    • Able to represent the product internally across Surescripts with limited support needed from the Product Manager
    • Able to represent the product externally across clients and other industry stakeholders
    • Develop presentation content for internal and external audiences.
    • Act as a liaison between technical teams and internal/external stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain product documentation for support teams and technical teams
    • Represent and promote Surescripts and product line at industry events (e.g. MGMA, AAFP, HIMSS)
    • Take lead in managing and recommending improvements to standards in use by Surescripts product line (e.g. NCPDP, X12, HL7)
    • Educate internal stakeholders on product functionality, issues, updates, etc.
  • Manage and continuously improve product operations
    • Coordinate agendas and creation of materials necessary to support periodic business and executive reviews
    • Work within portfolio management framework to manage, track, and drive for product improvement.
    • Define and implement process improvements within Product Innovation
    • Create and maintain operational dashboards and quality reports
    • Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify, diagnose and address product related issues - case by case and at scale
  • Launch new products
    • Assist with product and market analysis as needed
    • Work with customers as client champion, and point of coordination for all Pilot and Early Adopter programs. This includes, creating documentation, defining success criteria, gathering metrics and conducting data analysis.
    • Assist/advise identification and documentation of high-level business requirements and use cases for products or features
    • Research and clarify business requirements and rules throughout the development phase of a new product or feature

QualificationsBasic Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst
  • 2 years of experience using advanced functions in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous health information technology experience working for or with EHRs, HIEs, Public Health or Health Care Providers
  • Experience using internal reporting systems such as Tableau, Salesforce, etc.
  • Experience with industry standards such as NCPDP X12,and HL7Project management experience
  • Conversant in the product lifecycle (Ideate, Evaluate, Develop, Launch)
  • Experience with Atlassian Products
  • Experience with writing and using SQL queries
