This is a great opportunity with a safe and reputable company. We are seeking qualified candidates to fill our Compliance Data Analyst position in our Little Canada, MN location.


The successful candidate will have strong data mining and modeling skills and is comfortable facilitating ideas and working from concept through to execution. This role will have extensive interaction with business unit team members and leadership and will be tasked with analysis of business data, analytics requirements, and the transformation of those requirements into analytics solutions.


This position requires a wide range of technical development, design, and multitasking skills and will lead the implementation of BI and analytics solutions, including business process analysis, database design, core data architecture, and report design/development. A high level of intellectual curiosity with the ability to learn new concepts/frameworks, algorithms and technology is required in order to adapt rapidly as changing conditions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and query data sources to get required data for analyses
  • Collaborate with Safety, Compliance and Project Controls teams to integrate data and work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs
  • Evaluate, improve and create Key Performance Indicator modeling within Microsoft Power BI
  • Create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge
  • Create and enhance the data modeling, reports, and analytics solutions necessary to support dynamic business information needs
  • Create Key Performance Indicator (KPI) models utilizing Microsoft Project BI to track and display data obtained through field evaluation, customer scorecards and safety statistics
  • Partner with Mobil IT to analyze existing process and upgrade or develop systems to maximize data transfer efficiency
  • Analyzes and proactively monitors current reporting/BI environment and recommends improvements
  • Plays a key role in the development, implementation and ongoing operation of the company-wide data strategy, data governance and data stewardship

Job Requirements
  • Proficient in applying data analytics tools and techniques to identify operational areas for continuous process improvement
  • Proficient with Microsoft Power BI
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access
  • Experience creating process and procedure around data cleansing and data normalization
  • Solid experience and ability to document and explain data modeling to technical and non-technical resources
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate technical issues to non-technical people
  • A Minimum of 5 years' experience in business analytics or related field
  • Established history of leading and supporting successful projects
