To provide instructional assistance to students in STEM courses in the Math Assistance Area of the College of DuPage.

Hours: Up to 24 hours per week during academic terms only (approximately 40 weeks per year). Some evening or weekend hours may be required. Some hours may be at off-campus locations.

• Providing academic assistance to students in mathematics, physics or other STEM courses.
• Consult with college mathematics faculty and senior academic assistants for consistency in tutoring students as needed.

REQUIRED:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in physics or other STEM field.

EXPERIENCE: Experience providing academic assistance in mathematics or other STEM field at the high school level or above.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a proficiency in spoken English.

PREFERRED:

EDUCATION: Master's degree in mathematics or other STEM field.

EXPERIENCE: Experience teaching mathematics or other STEM field at the high school or college level.

Basic computer and electronic communication skills.
