Job Description

The Account Manager (AM) has primary responsibility for managing and growing End User Technology (EUT) business within the current client base. The AM possesses the necessary skills to market and sell PDS key solutions including, but not limited to EUT, Managed Services and Professional Services.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reports To: Director, End User Technology Sales
  • Direct Reports: None

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed financial commitments in terms of material margin, individual revenue quota attainment and forecasting accuracy.
  • Work independently or with Account Director to build and/or execute on account strategy to achieve margin targets
  • Own the entire EUT sales process, including both client-facing activity and quoting (approx. 25% in front of clients, 75% in office)
  • Develop strategic relationships with customers driving both business and IT outcomes, fueled by EUT solutions that support customer's initiatives
  • Meet sales/technical certification requirements
  • Establish strong relationships with manufacturer representatives, and collaborate to meet customer needs and forecasts
  • Understand customer-specific contracts
  • Own Request For Proposal (RFP) process for EUT opportunities within existing client base
  • Timely and accurate opportunity management in CRM
  • Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications:
Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Job Related Experience:

  • 3+ years of successful technology sales experience either in direct selling or sales support
  • Proven track record of goal attainment
  • Ownership of customer relationship and problem resolution
  • History of uncovering new opportunities within existing customer base to grow sales in all areas
  • Demonstrated excellence in teamwork
  • Participation in successful business and on-going negotiations with customers
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new and advanced technologies

Additional Skills/Knowledge:

  • Quoting system
  • Deal registration comprehension
  • Business Acumen
  • Comfortable formally presenting to groups of all sizes
  • Understand and follow internal processes and procedures
  • Ability to present PDS Digital Workspace Story
  • Ability to present leading manufacturers' portfolio and roadmaps with EUT (HP, Dell, Lenovo, etc.)
  • Depth in Supply Chain Management
  • Depth in Life Cycle Management
