Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate onshore/offshore application development and support team as "Service Level Owner" of multiple CBA/P1/P2/P3 applications assigned to perform all operations support efforts
  • Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design code development and testing
  • Design and implement performance and operational enhancements
  • Prioritize support strategic priorities into daily actionable plans for the team
  • Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required
  • Work very closely with architecture groups and drive solutions
  • Participate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases
  • Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and should be able to clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadership
  • Collaborate on the design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside the scrum team
  • Estimate operational work effort for engineering team and effectively identify and prioritize the high impact tasks
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets coding best practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines
  • Participate in 24x7 on call support
  • Open problem tickets when code issues are identified and work with the Dev team to define requirements for the fix
  • Working with the offshore teams to determine root cause and develop and test workarounds
  • Providing knowledge transfer that may help the offshore to understand the issue/root cause whenever possible
  • Escalating high priority issues that have not resolved by the SLA to Scrum Master or Management team


Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in 24x7 Production Support and ITSM Practices
  • 3+ years of experience in hands on distributed server operations (build, break / fix, manage, patching, prod support)
  • Knowledge of implementation of monitoring tools, automation scripts, and overall automation to reduce manual efforts
  • Knowledge of other batch scheduling systems utilizing TWS (Trivoli Workload Scheduler)
  • Experience working in an Agile CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) development environment
  • PLM Experience and Infrastructure Upgrades
  • Experience with APIs/micro services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Experience performing code reviews
  • Understanding of non-functional system specifications and requirements
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to document technical content
