DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Aluminum and Steel Investment castings. Require hands on experience in all aspects of the manufacturing process including: Melting Practices, Shelling systems and controls, Tool design and Manufacture, and Gating. Have BS in an Engineering Science. Having an emphasis or background in Metallurgical / Metals processing subjects beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communications at all levels of operations. Experienced in gating and mold assembly design using CAD software, identifying necessary tooling and developing design concepts for tools and fixtures.
Engineer is responsible for performing the following duties:
Improving efficiency, process capability and lower equipment downtime.
Supports continuous improvement processes throughout operation.
Ensure updating of Quality system documents and Manufacturing routings.
Analyze process controls and program robotic shell system.
Perform root cause analysis of processes.
Support of Sales efforts. Be customer liaison and advise Sales.
Review and approve changes in tooling.
Magma Soft solidification experience beneficial.
Investigates quality/manufacturing process concerns and work with floor operators and supervision in finding solutions.
Investigates new manufacturing processes, equipment and hardware to improve quality and performance processes.
Be able to manage multiple conflicting priorities at the same time.
Auto CAD and 3D modeling experience a plus.
