| Description | This position is responsible for preparing food items in accordance with CSM high quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction, including adherence to health regulations. KEY CONTRIBUTIONS 1. Sales: Helps maximize sales and revenue by maintaining food quality and within service window guidelines to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat business. 2. Cost Control: Helps drive hotel profitability by following menu specifications for cooking, recipe procedures for preparation, production, plate set-up and garnish. Responsible for proper use of all equipment and supplies. Adheres to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste. 3. Guest Service: Provides consistent high quality food to guests. Responds to any special requests in a timely manner. Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments as necessary. 4. Safety/Risk Management: Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with CSM, brand, local, state and federal regulations. Receives, prepares, and stores all food in accordance with CSM, local and state regulations. Follows all CSM procedures for guest/associate incidents. Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures. 5. Self Management: Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties. Adheres to CSM attendance policy, grooming and appearance standards, and general work rules and department procedures. Attends all required department and hotel meetings. |
| Requirements | Education: High School diploma or GED required. Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred. ServSafe certification desired, or the ability to obtain certification as required. Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 1+ years cook experience required. Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in a repetitious and fast paced environment. Physical: Ability to push, and pull, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift. |
