Position Description

Service Advisor ­ Second Shift
White Bear Lake, MN

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the entire workflow and successful outcome of each job.
· Supervise technician work flow: Schedules and plans work.
· Coordinates work in progress with shop and parts operations
· Performs customer follow-up on status of work in progress
· Oversees shift and performs opening/closing procedures as required
· Communicates with customers and associates
· Creates and presents estimate to the customer on repair costs
· Responsible for processing of repair orders, completing warranty claims and customer
invoicing
· Provides hands-on technician assistance as needed
· Run and monitor warranty acknowledgement reports daily
· Monitor and correct warranty variances as necessary
· Initial customer contact, to include greeting the customer, open work order, capture
comprehensive complaint, unit information, etc.
Critical Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities by Dimension:
Functional/Technical
· Minimum two years of experience in this or a related field or position
· Basic knowledge of diesel engines in class 5 - 8 semi trucks and recreational vehicles is
required
· Excellent customer support skills
· Ability to use a computer and keyboard to complete work. Experience with MS Office tools
such as Word and Excel
· Organizational and time management skills
· Able to multi-task in a fast paced work environment
· Ability to communicate technical information effectively

· Ability to contribute to system improvement process
