PURPOSE: This position is mainly accountable for the maintenance and cleanliness of the
exterior areas of the facility and assists in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of other areas as needed. To ensure guests to Mall of America have a positive shopping and entertainment experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Performs a variety of tasks to maintain and repair Mall of America property
• Sweeps, cleans and picks up trash in landscaped areas, parking lots, docks, entrance areas and sidewalks
• Performs landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, trimming and watering
• Performs snow removal duties using tractor with plow, snow blower or shovel
• Empties ash and trash containers and removes waste to appropriate areas
• Ensures the overall safety of the immediate work area as well as surrounding areas
• Provide outstanding internal and external guest service at all times

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid Minnesota Driver’s License
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least 6 months previous experience using outdoor maintenance equipment such as tractors, mowers and weed trimmers
• Working knowledge of the safe handling and operation of equipment and materials used in landscape maintenance and custodial duties
• Ability to work variable and/or rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to understand simple verbal and/or written instructions
• Ability to perform some or all of the physical tasks involved in lifting, driving, sweeping, mowing and related exterior custodial/maintenance duties

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Stand and move-frequently, 90% of time
• Kneel and bend-frequently, 90% of time
• Handle larger items, such as trash bags/containers-frequently, 90% time
• Reach at or below shoulder level-frequently, 80% of time
• Perform repetitive motion-frequently 80% of time
• Stoop/Squat-frequently, 80% of time
• Lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs- frequently, 80% of time
• Reach at or above shoulder level-frequently, 80% of time
