What is the Manager-Internal Sales responsible for?

The Internal Sales Manager is responsible for leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Internal Sales Consultants. They are responsible for the creation of specific sales goals, implementation of technology sales solutions, compliance oversight and principal review, staying current with industry trends, and recruiting and hiring for their team. The Internal Sales Manager identifies opportunities based on advanced understanding of capital markets for improving client interactions resulting in elevated sales interactions.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Manager-Internal Sales USAS?
  • Hire, lead, develop, and motivate a team of Internal Sales Consultants.

  • Effectively coach team to develop and improve critical skills and competencies, including sales skills and territory management, product and business acumen, and leadership and professional standards.

  • Manage performance of team, including engaging, developing, and rewarding high performers; providing effective feedback; and holding accountable underperformers.

  • Build collaborative partnership with Divisional Sales Manager and Internal Sales Manager peers to drive business plan execution.

  • Design, communicate and implement new sales practices and procedures.

  • FINRA regulatory supervisor and Principal review

  • Oversee, design, and implement the ongoing skill development program for sales.

  • Actively participate and organize strategic business planning sessions.

  • Actively participate in recruiting and onboarding of new associates

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
  • Bachelor's degree or more advanced degree preferred

  • 8 plus years of experience in a Financial Services organization; previous sales experience preferred.

  • Adaptive and collaborative leadership skills

  • Superior talent evaluation skills

  • Champions change in a dynamic fast paced environment.

  • Strong coaching and motivational skills; Culture carrier

  • Has ability to translate strategic priorities into specific action plans; drives execution

  • FINRA Series 7 & 63 license required; Series 24 is preferred. Must be willing to obtain Series 24 within three months of hire.

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary range for this position to be $150,000.00 - $160,000.00.
